Since 1997, Roaring Fork Conservancy has taught valley students about the precious resource that unites our valley — water. Watershed education programs are available to school, youth and civic groups year-round. All our programs incorporate inquiry learning, hands-on activities, and relevant place based content for students in the Roaring Fork Valley. Custom Programs With a staff of quality environmental educators we are able to create and provide new and different educational programs. Topics we can cover include anything related to rivers and water including but not limited to weather, ecology, riparian plants and animals, water law, water resources, water history, water chemistry, water quality, groundwater, geology, wetlands, literature studies, fly tying, and more. Please contact us to discuss your class needs and we will be happy to work with you.
Outdoor Education Programs Many schools in the Roaring Fork Valley provide varying degrees of Experiential Education/Outdoor Education programs for their students. We are glad to provide educational programming prior to student river trips. Many times we have been able to send one of our educators on school river trips and provide environmental education programming during the trip. Please contact us to discuss how we can assist your school's program.
