13th Annual Fryingpan River Clean Up April 30, 2011; 8:30 am to 12 noon
Meet at Lions Park, Basalt, Colorado
Help clean up one of the most beautiful stretches of river in the country! Volunteers of all ages welcome! Join us for a free breakfast before cleaning up a mile section of the river. Please dress appropriately with gloves, long pants, a hat and sunscreen. Every participant receives a free Fryingpan River Cleanup logo item. Prizes for: Best of Trash, Most Toxic, Most Useful, Most Unusual Trash. Raindate is May 7th. More info: www.roaringfork.org/cleanup.
Participant Information Breakfast and registration starts at 8:30 am. Teams of 3-4 people are arranged, assigned about a mile of river, and head out to clean up around 9:15 am. Entries of trash for prizes must be registered at Lions Park by 11:45 am. The cleanup often happens in not so ideal weather.
Please be prepared with proper clothing, including:
long pants
gloves
hat
sunscreen
proper footwear
water
