What is one thing you do to help protect our rivers?: "I am a science teacher at Aspen High. We have a Riverwatch program that introduces most of the students to the issues surrounding our rivers. We do a lot of water quality testing to insure our watershed remains pristine. Hopefully, these kids will protect our rivers well into the future."

What is one thing you do to help protect our rivers?: "I help create awareness of some issues through my job as a reporter at The Aspen Times. On a more personal level, I am always sensitive to keeping my dog out of a portion of the Forest Service land behind Crown Mountain Park during winters when it was obvious deer and elk were there because of heavy snow."

What is one thing you do to help protect our rivers?: "I test the water of Four Mile Creek with four other local residents. We were trained by Roaring Fork Conservancy and our data will form a baseline, gathered at the Colorado River Watch site, to compare future changes in the creek. In addition, my husband and I founded the Friends of Four Mile, a local citizens group dedicated to the health of the creek."
