Colorado River District Water Education Materials Educating children about water, Western Colorado's most vital resource, helps to ensure that we use water carefully and wisely. On this page, you'll find information for K-12 lesson plans, experiments and other classroom materials to help you teach a water-oriented curriculum. EPA's Surf Your Watershed - Roaring Fork Watershed Watersheds are those land areas that catch rain or snow and drain to specific marshes, streams, rivers, lakes, or to ground water. Use this site to Locate Your Watershed and learn about it.
Project WET - Water Education for Teachers The goal of Project WET is to facilitate and promote awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of water resources through the development and dissemination of classroom-ready teaching aids and through the establishment of state and internationally sponsored Project WET programs.
USDA's Water Quality Information Center Part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's site, the WQIC has online databases and information on water and agriculture.
U.S. Geological Survey Water site The USGS Water site has information on our country's surface water, ground water, water quality and water issues.
U.S. Geological Survey Water Science for Schools Offers information on many aspects of water, along with pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can give opinions and test your water knowledge.
