Sunny skies and cold water! On June 7, 140 people experienced the valley from the Roaring Fork River's perspective as they participated in River Float 2008. Organized by Roaring Fork Conservancy, this free community float and cookout gives participants an opportunity to learn about wildlife, rivers and water issues from volunteer boat naturalists of diverse backgrounds. "This is one of our favorite events to put on each year," says Executive Director Rick Lofaro. "We have another 130 people who had a great time and are pumped about protecting our rivers." River Float could not happen without the generous support of our sponsors, volunteers, raft guides, and participants. Thanks to everyone who made this year's River Float the best yet.
