2007 Roaring Fork Watershed Photo Contest

Thank you to all of the photographers who participated in the 2007 Roaring Fork Watershed Photo Contest. We received 78 entries and the judges admitted they had a very difficult time choosing the best photographs. All of the judges praised the work of the amateur photographers which they said rivaled some of the pros!

 Prizes for both categories:
 1st Place - $75 gift certificate to Redstone Inn
2nd Place - $25 gift certificate to Village Smithy
3rd Place - RFC gift bag

Roaring Fork Conservancy will use both prize-winning and non-prize-winning entries in future publications and on our website. If you were not a prize-winner, still keep an eye out for your work to appear in print. We will credit each photographer for photos used. Please email tim@roaringfork.org with any questins.

 
 

2007 Roaring Fork Watershed Photography Contest Judges:

Robin Henry
Glenwood Springs resident Robin Henry will spend hours getting the perfect nature shot. A long-time Roaring Fork Valley local, Robin specializes in wildlife photography. Robin's work has appeared in numerous Roaring Fork Conservancy publications over the years.

David Hiser
David Hiser Photography
David Hiser is a photojournalist and photo educator. Two decades of photography assignments for the National Geographic Magazine and other international publications including Newsweek, Smithsonian and Geo.

Peter McBride
Peter McBride Bio
Peter McBride is a self-taught freelance photographer whose love of adventure, cultures and the outdoors have taken him on assignment throughout the world. Peter has traveled from the skies of Africa and the rooftop of the Andes Mountains to the trail of Mexican immigrants, the beat of Cuba's streets and the depths of the Galapagos seas.
