Mission Statement:
To assist individuals, and local, state and federal agencies and organizations in the effective planning and management of land and water uses within the Roaring Fork Watershed.
Objectives:
Identify and facilitate the use of available agency and organization resources to:
1) protect riparian and aquatic resources, while providing for a viable economic community,
2) provide available watershed information and data to all stakeholders to preclude duplicative work effort,
3) collaborate on applications for major grants supporting a prioritized list of projects, including watershed studies, public education, and planning and management efforts,
4) collaborate on public outreach and education efforts on water resource issues within the watershed,
5) provide a mechanism to transfer information between state water-related forums (i.e., SWSI and HB 05-1177) and stakeholders, and
6) develop a Roaring Fork Watershed Plan.
