Since 1997, Roaring Fork Conservancy has conducted education programs for nearly 40,000 students and adults of all ages throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Educators teach students about the ecological, chemical, physical, and cultural significance of local riparian areas using relevant, hands-on, place-based, interactive learning methods. Committed to a watershed-wide approach to education, Roaring Fork Conservancy works with over 20 schools on 30 field study sites from Aspen to Glenwood Springs, Meredith to Marble. Watershed Explorations allow adults and families the opportunity to explore and learn more about the watershed they live within. These programs bring local experts together with citizens to understand the value of our valley from a watershed perspective.
