Since Roaring Fork Conservancy's inception, the organization has dreamed of building an educational facility dedicated to teaching residents and visitors about the Roaring Fork Watershed. In 2005, Roaring Fork Conservancy purchased land just west of downtown Basalt on which it will build this facility. Over the next few years Roaring Fork Conservancy will continue to design the center, led by Harry Teague Architects with input from a variety of forums, and raise funds to support its construction.
