Each Roaring Fork Conservancy offers an amazing opportunity for 150 members of the public to experience the Roaring Fork River first-hand for free! Join us for this amazing half-day float along the lower Roaring Fork River. Bring your own boat or jump on one provided by Blazing Adventures or Rock Gardens Rafting for this morning of sightseeing, exploration, and eating (at the BBQ at the end of the float). Naturalists from around the valley will be on boats to offer insights during the two-hour float. We will float rain or shine. This event is open to the public ages 8 and up, however, space is limited and registration is required. A Habitat Stamp is REQUIRED for all participants. Donations welcome. In 2004, Roaring Fork Conservancy decided that the best way to teach people about our rivers was to get them on the river. And so River Float was born. Each year we have taken over 140 people down the lower Roaring Fork River teaching them about wildlife, water issues and riparian habitat. We hope you can join us on the river!
