The Roaring Fork Watershed
Collaborative Water Group development/implementation committee went before the
Ruedi Water and Power Authority (RWAPA) Board on March 1 to scope out their
willingness to provide oversight for a watershed plan. They were given a
PowerPoint presentation and provided handouts on a proposed development plan and
preliminary literature review. All of these documents will be made
available next week on the watershed collaborative web site
(www.roaringfork.org/Collaborative) under watershed plan and
development/implementation committee. The Board wants to move forward to
explore this effort and requested we come back with a scope of work, time frame,
and budget. A suggestion was made to phase the plan so that plan
development and implementation was not held up until we had all the needed
information.
A meeting to discuss the next steps
will be held on Thursday 3/9 from 2-4 at the Colorado River Water Conservation
District meeting room (201 Centennial, Suite 200 • Glenwood
Springs). All are welcome to
attend.
