Capitol Creek Ranch Snowshoe

Join us on snowshoes through the Capitol Creek Ranch riparian area. We’ll wander past beaver ponds and through aspen forests while exploring the history of the property. Capitol Creek Ranch, an iconic property that is protected by conservation easement within the Pitkin County Open Space and Trails program, was originally owned by the late Bob Child who was integral in many significant conservation efforts in the Roaring Fork Valley starting as early as the 1960s.

Snowshoes are REQUIRED. (There is a chance we may be able to loan a few snowshoes. Please note the need on your registration and we will be in touch with you about availability.)

Please dress appropriately as the hike will happen snow or shine.  Please bring a snack and/or a thermos with a hot drink.

Appropriate for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Please call (970) 927-1290 with questions.
