Kristen began working for Roaring Fork Conservancy in Spring of 2017. Originally from Michigan, Kristen graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology in 2012. Since graduating, Kristen has worked as a fisheries and wildlife science technician for the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and the National Park Service. In previous research and management work, Kristen routinely found ways to share her love and deep interest for riparian ecology with students of all ages and walks of life. She is excited to share her working knowledge and passion for high alpine lakes and headwaters while working for Roaring Fork Conservancy. When not teaching, ski instructing, or working with developmentally disabled adults, Kristen can be found mountain biking, camping, quilting, or wood burning.
